Bluebird Hospitals Keep You Safe
There are few places where one is more vulnerable than after being admitted to hospital. We expect hospitals to take our safety seriously and not to expose us to infections known to be lurking in that hospital. Unfortunately, at least 10% of patients will develop an infection during their hospital stay. Superbugs, including the bacteria that the Centre for Disease Control calls "Nightmare Bacteria", are increasingly common in both private and public hospitals in South Africa. These potentially life threatening Superbugs pose a particular risk to newborn babies and to those undergoing surgery.
